Carla Jones is the Allergy UK Chief Executive and is responsible for the strategic development of the charity. Since 2017, she has been a board member of the European Federation of Allergy and Airways with the responsibility for supporting the organization with advice on development of strategy. In 2019, Carla was appointed Secretary before assuming her most recent role as Treasurer in 2020.
 

TONYA A. WINDERS

President and CEO,
Global Allergy & Airways Patient Platform (GAAPP)

Tonya Winders is the current President of the Global Allergy & Airways Patient Platform representing more than 50 respiratory patient organizations throughout the world. She has more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles within the allergy and asthma industry and serves on several expert panels including PRECISION & ATS Public Advisory Roundtable. Tonya is also on the Board of Directors of the American Respiratory Care Foundation.

JENNIFER AUSTIN

Interim CEO,
GlobalSkin

Jennifer Austin is the interim CEO of GlobalSkin, also known as the International Alliance of Dermatology Patient Organizations (IADPO). She is a skilled strategist and patient advocate with over 25 years of experience in communications, marketing and stakeholder engagement. Prior to becoming GlobalSkin’s Executive Director in 2015, she held senior leadership positions in Canada’s Parliament. She currently sits on the European Academy of Venereology and Dermatology Patient Working Group and the Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance’s Patient Advisory Committee.

DR. HAYDEN BOSWORTH

Associate Director,
Center for Health Services Research in Primary Care,
Durham VA Medical Center

Dr. Bosworth is a health services researcher and Associate Director of the Center for Health Services Research in Primary Care at the Durham VA Medical Center. He is also a Professor of Medicine, Psychiatry and Nursing at Duke University Medical Center and Adjunct Professor in Health Policy and Administration at the School of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research interests comprise three overarching areas: clinical research that provides knowledge for improving patients’ treatment adherence and self-management in chronic care and translation research to improve access to quality of care and eliminate healthcare disparities.

MARIO OTTIGLIO

Managing Director,
High Lantern Group

Mario is a Managing Director for the High Lantern Group where he advises on reputation and sustainability strategies in the healthcare and life sciences sectors, leveraging his combined knowledge of business and the United Nations system, particularly the World Health Organization. Mario is also a Faculty Member at the World Business Angel Forum Business School where he focuses on issues related to private sector involvement in social good, sustainability and impact investing. Mario previously served as Health Policy and Communications Director for the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers & Associations.
